Ashton Smashes his Triathlon Challenge
Following the loss of his grandma to cancer last year, new Arnold Hill Academy student Ashton Jackson, decided he wanted to do something to raise some money for Cancer Research UK.
On Sunday, 10th September, Ashton set out to swim for one mile, run for three miles and cycle for 12 miles in an attempt to complete his own triathlon.
Luckily the rain held off, and Ashton made it look easy as he completed the swim in 53 minutes and the run in 36 minutes before riding to Chilwell, where many of his family and friends were waiting to cheer him on.
To date Ashton has raised over £830 on his Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/Ashton-Jackson as well as more than £200 in sponsorship pledges.
Congratulations Ashton, we are delighted that your hard work and determination has paid off!
