Important Message - Changes to Payments for School Dinners from Monday 5th June 2017
Have you Registered for Scopay?
Earlier this year the academy introduced a new online payment system, Scopay, to enable parents to make payments to the academy for trips, and other resources via a credit or debit card. Thank you if you have signed up for the online account as it has led to significant efficiencies within the academy, and hopefully you will have seen the benefits of paying online too.
With effect from Monday 5th June 2017 the academy will also be moving from sQuid to Scopay for online school dinner payments. It is extremely important that parents register their Scopay account in advance of this change to allow payments to be made online. The registration instructions, and one time link code, have been resent to all parents yet to create an account. Payments for school dinners will be accepted through Scopay from 4 pm on Friday 2nd June 2017.
All online sQuid accounts will be blocked at the end of this half term and any balance outstanding on accounts at Friday 26th May will be transferred over to the new Scopay system by the new operators.
Please be aware that if you have not granted permission for your child to use the current fingerprint system for lunches, they will not be able to use this function with Scopay.
Students will be able to load their accounts with money via cash machines in the canteen and opposite A Block Sports Hall. These units will accept the new £5 notes and £1 coins from 5th June 2017.
Please note that there are a number of year group trips planned for the end of this term and these will also all require online payment via Scopay.
Welcome to the Arnold Hill Academy Online Payments Systems
The systems we use allow parents to make online payments for school dinners, trips, events and other resources. Both systems are very easy to use and have been designed to give you the freedom to make payments, securely by debit or credit card, at your convenience. This means students no longer have to bring cash into school. With the exception of American Express, Arnold Hill accepts all major debit and credit cards. All card payments are secure and adhere to the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
At Arnold Hill we use sQuid for the payment of school dinners. sQuid is a cashless catering system that allows parents to top up their child's dinner money account online. Students are then able to buy food in the school canteen using the money in their account. The system is secure, convenient and lets parents know that dinner money has been spent as they intended. All new parents are sent a letter that includes details of how to register. If the letter gets lost, parents can contact the school office for registration details. More information, including a user guide is avaible from their website https://www.squidcard.com/support/parents.
If at any point you need to request a refund on your child's account, please get in touch with sQuid. Neither Arnold Hill Academy, nor our catering partners, have access to the funds within your child's catering purse and are therefore unable to action any refund.

School Trips and Other Payments
Scopay is being introduced to allow you to make payments for trips, revision guides, music tuition and other resources.
Scopay is a secure online payments system and will be the new method of paying for trips, revision guides, music tuition and making any other payments to Arnold Hill Academy.
Each user will be sent a letter containing a unique link code along with instructions on how to create an account on the Scopay website. This site is specific to the school and utilises Worldpay to ensure that any transaction is safe and secure. If you have more than one child at Arnold Hill Academy there is no need to create multiple accounts as a further code will be provided so that all siblings can be linked to the existing account.
Your card statement will show a payment has been made to Arnold Hill Academy.
